This program is limited to 15 participants and requires advance registration.
Please note: there is a $3.00 per vehicle park entry fee. The tour is recommended for ages 13 and up; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We’ll begin at 9:00 a.m. with a brief meet-and-greet (and liability waiver signing) before setting out on the Tarkiln Bayou Trail. This accessible paved trail and elevated boardwalk winds through prairie, cypress, and titi forests, leading to a scenic overlook with sweeping views of the bayou. Along the one-mile route, we’ll make several stops to highlight the area’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring drinking water.
