Richard Ott, M.A., RPA

Public Archaeologist

Richard Ott is a Registered Professional Archaeologist with experience in all phases of archaeological fieldwork and has expertise with near-surface geophysical mapping for archaeological applications. Richard has experience with a variety of site types, including prehistoric, historic domestic, military, and funerary sites. Richard has worked on projects for numerous state and federal agencies, including: the US Air Force, NASA, and the National Park Service. Richard has specialized in Florida and southeastern prehistoric, historic, and African American archaeology. Additionally, Richard is familiar with the use of ground penetrating radar, as well as in the operation of GIS software and mapping equipment, including several GPS units. Richard’s areas of expertise include:
